We are at a very exciting stage of our journey to excellence at GBA having now embarked upon our first cohort of IGCSE students. Relationships are the cornerstone of what we do at GBA. As we continue building emotional and cognitive toolkits for our pupils in a caring and friendly atmosphere that resonates throughout our school. We consider it to be one happy family.
In recent years, the Secondary School has grown considerably both in terms of the number of students on roll and the breadth of courses on offer. We pride ourselves on small class sizes and the quality of education we offer, delivered by our experienced and diligent teachers, is first-rate.
The Secondary School comprises Years 7 till Year 10 at present and will be transitioning into the final Year 11 next academic year to sit their external IGCSE examinations. Key Stage 3 (Year 7 to Year 9) is a time of transition where your child will learn to become more independent, more resilient and more resourceful. When they enter Key Stage 4 in Year 10 they will begin the two-year IGCSE course and finish in Year 11.
At GBA we are working tirelessly to create pupils who are ‘future-ready’ for the new unknown challenges of the 21st century. We focus more on the whole pupil with our growth mindset philosophy preparing them to be life-long learners, oozing with empathy and ready to embrace the world as global citizens with compassion.
We will continue our journey to excellence, not in isolation, but hand in hand with you the parents on this exciting stage of the school’s history. I look forward to working with you to support your child’s learning.
Mr S. Abbott
