Our pupils in Years 9-10 recently had the opportunity to participate in an exciting workshop on how to create their own business. To facilitate this workshop, we were delighted to welcome INJAZ, an organisation that has a long-standing history of supporting education, to our school for the day. INJAZ Kuwait is a non-profit organisation that was established in 2005 as part of one of the world’s largest youth-serving NGOs Junior Achievement Worldwide, with the aim of empowering young people to own their economic success and be prepared for today’s business challenges. With the help of its partners and volunteers, INJAZ Kuwait impacts thousands of students every year bringing them closer to the real world and opening their minds to unlock their full potential.
During the workshop, our pupils learned about the concepts of business and how to market and promote their unique ideas. At the end of the session, they had to give a sales pitch to the rest of the pupils, which was assessed by judges from a local bank.
Our pupils had a fantastic day and were excited about working closely in teams to create and present their unique ideas. We gave them the creative freedom and independence to design and market their own business, which are crucial soft skills in the world of work. This workshop has helped us in our mission to prepare all our pupils for life after GBA and their careers!
