Gulf British Academy has started the new academic year with our teachers across all the key stages commencing their curriculum via remote learning. From home and in school, teachers are using a range of online applications including Google Classroom, Google Meet, Jamboard, ClassDojo and Zoom to ensure children around Kuwait receive as high a quality of education as possible.
Training – remote learning
Before the term began, both British and Arabic curriculum teaching staff were given three weeks of intensive training to prepare for the delivery of remote learning for this prolonged period of school closure. Due to Ministry of Health guidelines, social distancing is required and many of our teachers were both trained and now deliver lessons from home.
Adaptability and progress
We realise remote learning is not ideal for children and it’s a challenge for working families so we want to assure you that we are constantly reviewing our remote learning programme to meet the needs of both pupils and parents.
Our programme was designed to be agile on account of the shifting circumstances and the Senior Leadership Team is committed to monitoring progress and improving the experience for all involved.
A thank you to both our parents and our staff for making the best of a very challenging situation, and of course to our pupils who have really impressed us with their positivity, enthusiasm and hard work.
