In true Gulf British Academy tradition, today saw staff take to the stage to perform this year’s winter pantomime to a packed school hall. The tale was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the children loved it!
Key Stage heads, teachers and teaching assistants formed the cast and everyone dressed up in splendid costumes to put on a truly crowd-pleasing performance.
The audience, comprising pupils and staff from across Key Stage One, Two and Reception, were treated to some very memorable character portrayals right from that start.
The pupils really got involved in the pantomime too. They laughed at Snow White’s uncontrollable flatulence, the Prince’s diminutive inflatable steed and the expressive acting talents by each of the Seven Dwarfs; booed at the Evil Queen’s shenanigans; and cheered with the very goading “fake dwarfs” and straight-talking Magic Mirror.
In all, it was a great morning and really demonstrated the creativity that runs deep throughout our school.
“Our staff put a lot of time and effort into the pantomime and it was a wonderful way to bring the school community together,” said Head of School Ms Norma. “A sincere thank you to all the cast for a great show.”
