The culmination of our Book Week saw everyone wear costumes for our annual Dress Up Day.
Our pupils and staff looked amazing in their outfits, which depicted characters and people from the books and topics they have been reading, researching and discussing about all week.
We witnessed all sorts too! To highlight just some, there were costumes inspired by Peter Pan, The Cat in the Hat, War Horse, The Hodgeheg, The Rainbow Fish, Yoshi the Stonecutter, The Silver Sword, Africa is Not a Country, Paddington Bear, and What the Ladybird Heard.
These were joined by brilliant efforts portraying Egyptian pharaohs, fairies, mermaids, witches, kings, queens, princes and princesses. Pocahontas and a whole army of Minions made appearances too.
Alongside normal lessons, our teachers managed to squeeze in adventure trails and treasure/character hunts as well as book readings. Even some of our parents came in to class to read to the children.
Overall it was a fantastic day that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you to the parents who conducted book readings and to all our parents for making Dress Up Day 2018 one of the best yet.
Have a great half term holiday!
